Troubleshooting Llama Cart setup

Here are the ways to troubleshoot the Llama Cart during times of absence and misconfigurations.

When to refer to this troubleshoot:

  • Llama Cart failing to open after clicking the Cart.

  • Add to Cart button redirects to other page not adding a product to Llama Cart.

  • Llama Cart version mismatch. (rare case)


Llama Cart fails to open & Add to Cart button redirects to other page:

Initially, check for Theme "App embed" is set to "ON" which is located on home page. If not, enable it using a guide below:

Steps to Enable the "App Embed":

  • Go to Online store >Themes > Customize

  • From top-left corner choose App Embeds and select LC Upsell app

  • Enable LC Upsell and click Save to apply the change.
    ​

    Success! LC Upsell App Embed enabled πŸŽ‰

Next step, Enabling the "Llama Cart" itself:

  • Go to Customizer and look for Activate Llama Cart banner

  • Click Activate

    *Also, it is possible to identify the status of the Llama Cart on the "Published cart" section by:

    • Inactive - cart disabled

    • Live - cart enabled​

Llama Cart experience version mismatch (rare case)

When Llama Cart configurations are not present on an actual theme store even the "app embed" and "cart is active". The cause of this issue might be due to a version mismatch of Cart experience version on theme store settings.

  • Go to Online store >Themes > Customize

  • Choose App Embeds and select LC Upsell app

  • Inside the LC Upsell check Cart Experience variant

  • Set it to Published to overcome version mismatch.
