Buy One Get One promotion features and its functionality with use cases.
What is BOGO campaign?
Buy One Get One (BOGO) is an upsell strategy to boost sales by offering discounts, free gifts and special offers when customer buys a product.
BOGO campaign let’s the merchants to offer “Buy X Get X” and “Buy X Get Y”:
Buy X Get X - offer same product for free or at a discounted price.
Buy X Get Y - offer different product with discounts or for free.
Features and functionalities:
BOGO promotion is created by specifying single or multiple products along with choosing collection which promotion offer will be applied.
Buy configuration:
Specific products - offering the promotion for single or multiple product selection
Specific collection - offering the promotion for single or multiple collections
Note: Selected products have different statuses to easily verify product's availability before creating a promotion.
Active - product is active and it is available
Draft - product is in draft
Unpublished - product is not published to Online Store
Archived - product is archived
Get configurations:
Buy product quantity - number of product's quantity which customer needs to buy to get the promotion. (e.g. - Buy 1, Buy 2 or Buy 6 ...).
Get product quantity - number of products which customer gets after buying the specified products. (e.g. - Get 1, Get 2 or Get 6 ...).
Discount configurations - creating and choosing the type of a discount.
Discount type:
Percentage - percentage value (e.g. - 10%, 25%)
Amount Off - fixed value (e.g. - $20, $35).
Discount value:
Discount value based on the discount type with a default value of 10% or $10 depending the store currency.
Multiple based on the product quantity (optional) - additional feature to extend a promotion when customer buys more products then specified.
When product buy quantity increases so the get quantity to extend the promotion ( e.g. - Buy 2 Get 1, Buy 4 Get 2, Buy 6 Get 3 and Buy 8 Get 4 ... ).
Steps to configure:
From Home page go to BOGO page to start the setup
Choose Type of Offers from selection - “Buy X Get X” or “Buy X Get Y”.
Specify X product for customers need to buy:
Specific Product - choose one or multiple products
Specific Collection - choose collections
Configure the offer quantity - value which customers get (X/Y) products
Buy 1 Get 1
Buy 2 Get 2
Buy 6 Get 3
Set the discount type and it is amount
Percentage - 10%, 25%.
Amount off - $10, $25.
Set the Display message
Manual - option to display the offer on Product, Cart, Llama Cart and Checkout pages.
Automatic - option to automatically display the offer (enabled by default)
