Walkthrough of Auto-Add campaign, it's functionality, features and use cases.

What is Auto-Add?

Functionality that automatically adds products based on specific rules, such as cart amount, product purchases, or promo code offerings. With an option to schedule and target different markets.

Steps to configure:

Start by creating an Auto-Add campaign from campaigns page. Add desired product and select rule conditions to make the offer, default condition is "cart subtotal" greater or equal to 100 USD. Selected product gets a 100% discount making it a free product.

*Single product can be selected for Auto-add campaign. Customers get only one product for free per auto-add campaign.

Define the product trigger rule to specify when the campaign should activate. Then, adjust the visibility settings according to your preferences to control when and who can see the campaign. After making these changes, save your settings to apply them. Finally, configure the campaign to appear on the Checkout page using a guide on the top-right corner to complete the setup.

  • Go to Checkout settings

  • Add app block to the checkout page

  • Enable "Allow app to block checkout" option

  • Click "Save" to save the changes.

Features and functionality:

Rule sets:

  • Line items rules - specific product, product tag/vendor/title/SKU/type, product collection, cart/line item attribute, promo code, promotional link (UTM), ref value from URL

  • Amount rules - cart subtotal and cart total

  • Smart Filters - filtered subtotal/total and filtered quantity.

Visibility settings:

  • Scheduling - schedule a campaign with the option to specify both the start and end dates of the offer.

  • Market based promotion - target specific market or multiple markets.

  • Customer tags - offer exclusive deals for loyal customers using a tag filter.

Use cases:

BOGO (Buy One Get One): Buy one product and get the other product for free.

  • Example rule combinations:

    • Specific Product - selecting a single product or with its variants. Customer gets a free product if he adds the "specific product" to the cart.

    • Collection - offering free gift for specific collection.

      *It is also possible to combine these rules with cart amount rules to encourage customers to increase their purchases.

Buy X, Get Y: Customers must buy a certain quantity (X) to receive additional items (Y) for free, "Buy 2, Get 1 Free."

BOGO with Minimum Purchase Thresholds: Offers apply only if customers meet a minimum spending amount, incentivizing higher purchase totals.

BOGO using Promo codes: Allows customers to receive a free item when they enter a specific code
